Prior to that he was a founding Partner of Adlevo Capital, a sub Saharan private equity fund that invested primarily in West Africa into businesses with a technologically driven business model.
Previously as Managing Partner of Axis Venture Associates he provided corporate finance and equity advisory services to government agencies, technology funds and large corporates. During this time he advised Treasury on the introduction of the Section 12J allowance for venture capital investment and assisted in the development of the National Empowerment Fund (NEF).
Prior to founding Axis, Greg was a Principal and Deal Executive at Brait in South Africa where he was responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and sponsoring investments. He led Brait Technology Fund’s investments into various technology-based businesses.
Greg started his career with KPMG in Johannesburg where he completed articles before qualifying as a Chartered Accountant. Greg received a Bachelor of Commerce degree from University of Witwatersrand in South Africa and a Bachelor of Accounting from University of South Africa.
